About Missha First Treatment Essence

Missha First Treatment Essence is perfect for those who are fond of fermented ingredients. If you’ve been following Korean skin care tutorials and products, you might have had an opportunity to take a glimpse of this from many skin care vloggers who whipped it out from their bag and use it in their routines.

Many, particularly those who are not familiar with Korean products, have voiced their curiosity regarding the popularity of these ingredients. I mean fermented? That’s for wine, right?

But did you know that fermented ingredients are great at repairing skin damage and improving skin tone in a timeframe of a few weeks?

The Missha First Treatment Essence was manufactured with a new company formula. In addition, they’ve decided to include more than 90% of Himalayan purple barley’s fermented yeast extract to hydrate the skin and reduce pigmentation efficiently.

Owing to its ingredients, the essence is perfect for those suffering from dry skin as the hydration properties of the product could moisturize them, hence, decrease the individual’s sensitivity from both external and internal environments.

Not only that, but it also helps in encouraging quicker skin changes because of the effect of yeast fermentation. As a result, you could expect that the product could correct your skin tone and enhance its appearance and texture.

With hydrated skin, transparency and clarity of the skin would be evident. Plus, the product had included a rapid moisture absorption that will allow your skin to retain hydration and still maintain the skin’s elasticity.

Featured Ingredients

  • Yeast Ferment Extract

Yeast Ferment Extract is derived from various products, such as brewer’s yeast, nutritional up to baker’s yeast.

They are considered to be derivatives of fungus, which accommodates a high concentration of antioxidants. And because of its pretty several benefits, this ingredient has become a star in the beauty industry.

For instance, if you have sensitive skin, you might be having a hard time finding an ideal product that is compatible with your skin type. In that case, you would want to check out if the item contains this same key ingredient.

As the protein chemistry of yeast ferment extracts allows it to blend with the body’s natural chemistry. Hence, the occurrence of adverse allergic reactions, like reddening of the skin, is less likely as it’s not distinguished as a foreign substance by the human skin.

Yet, if you have dry skin, then yeast ferments could lend you their moisture retention correctly so that you would have an improved level of skin hydration.

Aside from that, you could enjoy a natural lift and brightening of your skin because the yeast ferment nourishes you with its iron and becomes your sound source for vitamin B.

Skin renewal or cell turnover would be possible, too, since this ingredient stimulates and activates the cell metabolism to increase ATP production, which is a cell’s vital energy source.

  •  Bifida Ferment Lysate

On the other hand, Bifida Ferment Lysate simply refers to a type of probiotic that came from the fermented Bifida.

A few studies have disclosed that this particular ingredient has helped protect the skin from UV light’s damages, provided hydration to the skin, and improved the skin’s immune system.

Apart from these, an evident benefit of the same ingredient has proved that it changes the skin’s texture and soothes any inflammation. Additionally, it was found out in a 2010 study entitled “Bifidobacterium longum lysate, a new ingredient for reactive skin” that Bifida is capable of decreasing the skin’s reaction and sensitivity.

Other notable ingredients

  • Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract

The Oryza Sativa is an ingredient derived from plants typically mixed in cosmetic products to achieve softer skin by conditioning its chelating agent.

It’s considered to be a rice by-product from milling. However, that doesn’t equate to being a throwaway since this rice bran is blessed with more than 100 compounds of antioxidants that are not limited to ferulic acid, vitamin E, and oryzanol.

Some additional benefits include omega 3 fatty acids, polysaccharides that serve as a moisturizer, and nutrients such as zinc, phosphorus, calcium, iron, and selenium.

With these components, you’ll be able to protect your skin from environmental damages and even reduce the presence of fine lines, wrinkles, and dullness, along with nourishing the skin, whatever skin type you may have.

  • Niacinamide

You could recognize niacinamide as a Jack of all trades due to its various merits as an ingredient of a skincare product. Most of my friends love niacinamide, and I know most people are too!

Niacinamide builds the skin’s proteins and retains moisture to avoid the appearance of sun damage. Additionally, it reduces pores, regulates oil production, and eases redness from inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and eczema.

It also revives healthy skin cells to protect you from the strict ultraviolet rays. At the same time, a 5% concentration of this chemical could aid with lightening the dark areas, where effects could be noticed within a month after encouraging collagen production.

Last but not least, this ingredient can build your keratin, which in turn lets your skin enjoy its firmness.

  • Pearl reef extracts

Pearl reef extracts are a great addition to a skin care formula if you’re looking for a way to brighten the skin without harsh chemicals.

Since this ingredient has amino acids, polysaccharides, protein, and minerals, it becomes a champion for removing dead skin cells and combat the excessive production of melanin to reveal radiant, soft, and fresh skin free of acne marks and blemishes.

Other than that, it’s also a rich source of antioxidants that aids in slowing the process of aging by eliminating radicals and preventing skin from experiencing further damages, like premature aging.

  • Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract

A significant phenol concentration is present in this derivative of a barley plant that serves as an antioxidant and protects it from the existing free radicals that are generally harmful to human skin.

It supports healthy-looking skin by improving skin quality through an evident decrease in the amount of oxidative stress.

  • Glycerin

Although it may be an odd ingredient for some, glycerin is actually beneficial to your skin care routine.

Glycerin is derived from animal fats or vegetable oils that most cosmetic companies use since this ingredient is famous for its humectant nature.

A humectant means that it is composed of a moisturizing agent that aids the water in reaching a deeper layer of the skin to hydrate the area by trapping it in rather than keeping it on the skin’s outer layer that would soon vaporize.

A 2008 study conducted by J. W. Fluhr and his colleagues has produced results that depict glycerin as an agent for rebuilding skin barrier protection, along with its mechanical properties.

It’s also responsible for accelerating the recovery process of damaged skin, and finally, providing defense from skin irritants.

  • Ceramide NP

Ceramides are actually in your body, but people with psoriasis and eczema were identified with a fewer number of ceramides.

In this case, ceramide-infused products could usually help soothe the irritation and even go further by creating an additional barrier if you possess dry skin.

Apart from that, it keeps your skin supple and soft by preventing more water loss. Thus, you would achieve a younger look that we’re sure you’d love!

Fragrance, Texture, and Consistency

The Missha First Treatment Essence is very watery and very quick to absorb to the skin. It feels smooth, lightweight, and doesn’t feel greasy. Plus, it has no fragrance to it.

Packaging

The Missha First Treatment Essence comes in a 150 ml frosted glass bottle with a nice silver cap. It also has a lid so you can dispense the product properly without spillage.

How I Apply The Missha First Treatment Essence

On a cotton pad, I put 2 to 3 drops and gently pat them on my face. It absorbs really quickly, so I don’t need to massage it on my face.

My Take on Missha First Treatment Essence

The first thing I love about this product is the ingredients list. It has an excellent set of ingredients that your skin would really love. Most of them are natural ingredients too.

Another thing is how fast it seeps into the skin. Since it comes in a watery lightweight formula, it doesn’t feel heavy and oily at all. I think that this is very ideal if you want to skip some heavy creams and oils in your daytime routine, especially since summer is right around the corner.

However, I will be honest that there are other products out there that have better performance in terms of achieving fined, firmer, and moisturized skin.

Don’t get me wrong. The Missha First Treatment Essence is still a good product. It’s just that when it comes to hydrating benefits, the Missha First Treatment Essence works very subtly.

For me, an essence provides heavier hydration compared to a toner which this product doesn’t really provide me that much according to my skin’s needs.

Overall, the Missha First Treatment Essence is a good product, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for very dry skin since you would be disappointed. But for oily skin types, you might love this one since it easily absorbs into the skin. MORE INFO PLEASE
