Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum Review

Now, there’s a lot of buzz going on about this on-trend skincare regimen. People have been making reviews about this product and I want to join in the crowd and share my experience on the popular Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum.

Green tea is one of the main ingredients in Innisfree Green Tea skin care line

Innisfree has been a notable brand in the Korean Beauty industry. Their release of the Green Tea product line took quite a lot of attention, especially the Green Tea Seed Serum. It is one of their best-selling products and really popular among Korean skincare fanatics. I’ve heard quite a lot of people raving about this, saying it’s a must-try and it’s one of the best, so here I am testing it out to see it is really worth the hype.

Wanting to make sure that the product will be of the highest quality, Innisfree conducted different researches and got through a lot of experiments to enhance this skincare product. Finally, they got stunning results and incorporated it into the product. Making sure that our skin stays hydrated, Innisfree’s Green Tea Seed Serum added Beauty Green Tea leaves, which has been cultivated purely for skin hydration.

Innisfree has been proud of cultivating Green Tea Leaves from the ever famous Jeju Island. The island is well known for green tea cultivation. The island has volcanic soil and bedrock water, which makes the green tea special. To top it all, it has an eco-friendly environment that is one of the reasons why Jeju produces high-quality green tea. Long before they discovered green tea as the main ingredient for different products, tea drinking has a long history originating back from the ancient Shang dynasty in China. It was said that green tea can cure all diseases back then, but now it has been scientifically proven and tested.

In terms of benefits, green tea got loads of it. From weight loss, improving cancer treatments to nourishing the brain function. Even drinking a hot green tea in the morning, helps you relax, perfect aromatherapy to soothe and calm your nerves.

Usually, serums are quite thick in consistency but this one is different. Its the texture is very thin and watery, not something that you’d expect from a serum. It has that green tea- citrus scent. To be specific, like a musk or aftershave kind of smell. The freshness of the green tea can be felt by the scent of the green tea-citrus aroma. Perfect to calm and relax your nerves. Now, if your skin is extra sensitive to citrus or fragrant ingredients, this might cause reactions to your skin.

It comes in a lightweight recyclable plastic bottle with a very eco-friendly design. It’s dispensable pump functions well, quite a good choice to keep everything clean and hygienic. Application of Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum

Recommended application according to their website:

  1. Gently towel dries your face after cleansing, and immediately pump out  2-3 times and apply over your face.
  2. If you are already using other products, use this serum in the first step of your skincare routine to help the products be absorbed in the following steps.

You can apply this whenever you want, you can apply this in the morning, in the afternoon, at night, or before you go to sleep. But in my case, right after my cleansing routine, I pump about 2-3 times, then warm it up in my palms, and gently press it on my face. The serum itself absorbs very quickly and afterward, I could feel that my face is moist and hydrated.

My Take on the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum

I actually quite like the product. True to its claims, it feels really hydrating and moisturizing to the skin. Once you spread it across your face, it absorbs really quick and a little bit of patting will do. It’s not sticky at all and doesn’t have any remaining residue. My skin feels softer, plumpier, and smoother. Even after I wake up next in the morning, my skin feels refreshed too. My skin was not irritated at all. I noticed a change that reduced the redness on my face.

Also, I like the smell of green tea from this product. Its aroma is really soothing but some may not like the smell. Especially if you find green tea and citrus scents too powerful. Something to take note, if your skin is highly sensitive to fragrant and citrus ingredients, this might cause stinging and irritations.

So in conclusion, I like the product but I’m not overjoyed about it. It does a good job for its purpose. Definitely worth a try if you’re always on-the-go and don’t have time to put on a toner using a cotton pad. This will really act as an alternative for toner and would help in absorbing other products that you will layer later on. Because it’s a lightweight formula, it helps moisturize the skin but not too much that you wouldn’t need the next step just like moisturizers do.

Give this a try! It does its job and your skin might work well with it! SHOP NOW
